So you have your shiny new mug from Talking Out of Turn! Congrats! We think you've made a wonderful choice! But now you want a coffee drink as fun and unique as the mug you hold in your hands. Well look no further! We got your back with three awesome recipes!

Dalgona Coffee

Yeah this is a super trendy coffee for quarantine. But here’s why… its SO tasty and SO easy to make! Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be on the perfect productive caffeine high for hours.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

2 tbsp. instant coffee

2 tbsp. cold water

Ice, for serving

Milk, for serving

Directions

In a medium bowl, combine sugar, coffee, and water. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, vigorously whisk until the coffee mixture thickens and holds a soft peak much like whip cream (If whisking by hand, it will take 8 to 12 minutes to achieve the desired consistency.)

Next, fill your mug most of the way full with ice and milk, followed by a dollop of the whipped coffee mixture on top. If desired mix before drinking!

Honey Almond Latte

Stressed out and looking for the perfect cross between a tea and a coffee latte? Well you’ve come to the right place. Honey Almond Lattes are a morning favorite round these parts. Specially on a Monday morning.

Ingredients

Coffee(Or preferably espresso but a nice dark coffee is just fine!)

Milk of Choice

Almond Syrup (available on Amazon)

Your Favorite Honey (We love to treat ourselves Savannah Bee Company but Honey from a plastic bear works too!)

Ice If wanting to serve cold

Directions

Pour roughly half a cup of hot coffee or two shots of espresso into your mug.

Add in one pump of almond syrup and one table spoon of honey.

If you prefer to make this a cold drink add ice cubes and milk now. (then just stir to enjoy) However! If you wish to heat up your milk, you may simply take half a cup and do so in a small sauce pan. Whisk milk to keep it from creating a skin. Once properly heated pour over coffee and honey mixture. Now sit back and enjoy!

Iced Lavender Latte

A personal summer favorite, an Iced Lavender Latte is the perfect warm weather treat! Plus, the simple syrup recipe included here can be used in sponge cakes, cookies and other goodies as well!(Did anyone say Lavender Collins?!)

Ingredients

For the Lavender Simple Syrup

4 TBSP dried Lavender (Available on Amazon or your nearest health food store)

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

For the Iced Lavender Latte

1/4-1/2 cup brewed hot coffee (or two shots of espresso work too)

1-2 TBSP lavender simple syrup

1/2 cup milk of choice

Ice for serving

Directions:

To Make the Simple Syrup

Combine sugar and water in small sauce pot. Bring to a boil and stir.

Add in dried lavender and reduce to a simmer. Let sit for ten minutes before removing from heat. Allow syrup and lavender to sit for 30 minutes in the same pot before straining through a colander into a storage container. Finished syrup may be stored safely in the refrigerator for up to one month.

Please note: For optimum lavender flavor, it is recommended that you let the lavender steep overnight before straining it in either the same sauce pot that was used, or in a reusable storage container. This will enhance your lavender flavor greatly.

To make your latte:

Pour hot coffee or espresso into your mug of choice with ice cubes(always drop your ice cubes into hot coffee first, this will keep the milk from curdling when you pour add it in. However if you’re patient you can also chill your coffee ahead of your iced latte preparation.)

Finally, pour 1/2 cup of milk into a small bowl.

Add two tbsp of lavender syrup to the milk and stir together.

Pour mixture over coffee and ice. (We prefer to take this extra step with mixing the syrup into the milk as we feel it distributes the flavor throughout the latte more thoroughly.)
